Adverse Weather Arrangements

*Please note that class arrangement for Applied Learning (ApL) and ERB courses are not included in the practice below. Students for these two courses please pay attention to the phone and/or SMS notifications from HKCT in due course.
When Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 1 or 3 is issued

All classes and examinations will be operated as usual 

When Tropical Cyclone Warning Pre-No. 8 Special/ Extreme Condition Announcement, Signal No. 8 or above is issued

All classes and examinations will be cancelled 

Contingency Arrangement 

• Examination in session will be continued until the end of the session even the Pre-No. 8 Special/ Extreme Condition Announcement or Signal No. 8 is issued
• Classes in session will be suspended immediately
• The College would temporarily open school premises if necessary
• The College should ensure that the conditions are safe before allowing students to return home

When Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above/ Extreme Condition is replaced by No. 3 signal

• If Signal no. 8 or above is lowered before 7am, all classes and examinations will resume
• If Signal no. 8 or above is lowered before 10:30am, afternoon and evening classes and examinations will resume
• If Signal no. 8 or above is lowered before 5pm, evening classes and examinations will resume

AMBER or RED

All classes and examinations will be operated as usual 

BLACK

All classes and examinations will be cancelled

Contingency Arrangement

• Classes and examination in session will be continued until the end of the session.
• If the BLACK Rainstorm Warning Signal is issued
- From 7am onwards, morning classes and examinations will be cancelled but the College premises will be opened.
- From 10:30am onwards, afternoon classes and examinations will be cancelled but the College premises will be opened.
- From 5pm onwards, evening classes and examinations will be cancelled but the College premises will be opened.
• The College should ensure that the conditions are safe before allowing students to return home.

When BLACK Rainstorm Warning Signal is replaced by another signal

• If BLACK Signal is replaced before 7am, all classes and examinations will resume.
• If BLACK Signal is replaced before 10:30am, afternoon and evening classes and examinations will resume.
• If BLACK Signal is replaced before 5pm, evening classes and examinations will resume.
