  • 課程介紹

    The BA (Hons) Event Management is a vocationally orientated programme designed for aspiring managers in the events industry by covering professional and specialised knowledge in the events industry. It is devoted to develop both personal and professional skills and abilities of students whilst the study of event operations develops a range of practical skills essential for the industry. Students are required to deliver an event which links the practical with the academic and helps to link the issues of the industry to the study of people management and financial management. The programme also provides a strong management orientation through a study of marketing issues alongside the idea of success as an operational management issue and it is founded on the critical and analytic study of the events industry and the needs for strategic approaches. Students will learn how to meet the challenges of organizing meetings, incentives, and events, as well as developing their own 'live' events.

    Year 1 Entry
    General Requirements

    • Completion of International Foundation Diploma awarded by the Hong Kong College of Technology; OR
    • HKDSE graduates
      • Level 3 in 5 HKDSE subjects; OR
      • Level 3 in 3 HKDSE subjects and Level 4 in 1 HKDSE subject; OR
      • Level 3 in 2 HKDSE subjects and Level 5 in 1 HKDSE subject; OR
      • Level 3 in 1 HKDSE subject and Level 4 in 2 HKDSE subjects; OR
    • Completion of Year 1 of Higher Diploma or Associate Degree courses in a related discipline; OR
    • Grade E in 1 A-Level subject plus Grade C in 2 A-Level subjects (or equivalent number of AS subjects) in HKALE; OR
    • Equivalent qualifications; AND
    • Pass in admission interview.

     

    English Requirements

    • Grade D or Level 3 in HKCEE English subject; OR
    • Level 3 in HKDSE English subject; OR
    • Grade E in HKALE English subject; OR
    • Score of 6.0 in IELTS with no score below 5.5; OR
    • Score of 550 (paper-based) / 213 (computer-based) / 80 (Internet-based) in TOEFL; OR
    • Grade C or above in GCSE; OR
    • Completion of English modules in International Foundation Diploma awarded by the Hong Kong College of Technology; OR
    • Equivalent qualifications.

     

    Top-Up / Year 3 Entry

    General Requirements

    One of the following qualifications in tourism or hospitality or related discipline

    • Higher Diploma
    • Associate Degree
    • Professional Diploma
    • The qualification must be awarded by a local recognized tertiary institution / post-secondary college; OR
    • Other qualifications, which the University will consider on a case-by-case basis, equivalent to the normal admission requirements of the University; AND
    • Pass in admission interview and English test (if applicable)
    • English Requirements
    • IELTS 6.0 with no score below 5.5; OR
    • Equivalent qualifications

     

    * An English test will be conducted for those applicants without the above qualifications.

     

    * Depending on the entry qualifications, students may have to pick up some studies in year 2. The University of Central Lancashire reserves the right for final decision.

  • 學費

    Year 1: HK$ 47,250

    Year 2: HK$ 52,500

    Year 3 / Top-Up: HK$ 57,750

    Administration Fee: HK$1,500 (Upon 1st installment)  

    Year 2 and Year 3 tuition fees will be reviewed and adjusted on the basis of inflation and other factors.
    All tuition fees are subject to the final approval from the Education Bureau.

    Students are eligible to apply for the Government Financial Assistance Scheme: Extended Non-Means-Tested-Loan (ENLS)

     

    Early Bird Discount

    • Application should be submitted on or before 31 July (for Sep intake)
    • The Early Bird Discount $2,000 will be made in the last installment of tuition fee payment

Many are working for large international organisations whilst a significant number have chosen to work more locally in the UK hospitality and events industry.
