In the final year of Higher Diploma, the school has arranged various business competitions, such as AAT and ACCA, I am honored to win the Championship. Through the competition, I have learned more on teamwork, time management and data analysis. Teachers offered great help and gave lots of feedback.

“After graduating from HKCT, I decided to start my own business. During my studies, our teachers encouraged us to participate in various kinds of business competitions and shared real business cases with us. Those experiences sharpened my marketing acumen and entrepreneurial skills, which enhanced my confidence to achieve my personal endeavors.”

HKCT organises an internship programme for students to work in the local business. It also arranges visits to the companies and professional marketing seminars to strengthen students’ understanding towards the industry. Last year, I joined the internship programme, which enabled me to get an in-depth understanding of company management and market development in Hong Kong. I have learned a lot indeed, and the experience would make me more competent to achieve my personal endeavours.

Graduate of Higher Diploma in Corporate Communication and Language Studies (Korean)

There are different scholarships in HKCT, offering financial assistance to those in need. My family is poor and teachers encouraged me to apply different scholarships and wrote me a lot of reference letters. Eventually I was entitled to a full-year scholarship. My family and me were joyful and relived.

In the course “Introduction to Linguistics”, lecturer uses everyday words to explain concepts in an easy way so that students would be able to grasp the use of English easily. At the same time, it enhances my critical thinking skills. With the encouragement from my lecturer, I become a committee member of Language and Communication Society and was chosen to be the student ambassador so that I could work for my schoolmates and this allows me to further strengthen my interpersonal communication skills.

Teachers have adapted an interactive teaching approach during Korean classes. Apart from learning in the classroom, we could also enjoy learning from videos and outside classroom. There are chances for us to get more exposure, for instance, attending guest talk by native Korean university students. This gave us a real taste of Korean living style. Besides, Chat Café sessions are very important to Korean-majored students, since it offers more opportunities to practise through casual talk with the facilitator.
