Higher Diploma in Social Media and Digital Marketing

This programme aims to provide student with professional training in social media and digital marketing, and to consolidate relevant knowledge and skills.

Computers and the Internet have become part of our daily lives. The emergence of various social media platforms facilitated the birth of the new "Social Media and Digital Marketing" model. 
Compared with traditional marketing, Social Media and Digital Marketing lowers cost, improves interaction, facilitates response, and has wider dissemination, without time and geographical restrictions. Hence social media and digital marketing have become a crucial part of the marketing plan in the internet economy and the real economy.
This programme provides professional training in social media and digital marketing and lays a solid foundation for building up students' essential and transferable skills in the industry.
Students can also build up professional knowledge in the industry through internship, practical training, workshops, company visits, and exchange programs with local/oversea institutions in order to prepare for their future development.

Graduation Path
  • Upon completion of the programme, students will have the competencies to work for a wide range of positions in various marketing related industries, for example: Digital Marketing Executive, Media Sales Executive, Social Media Specialist, Social Media Editor, Advertising and Media Account Executive, Sales Executive / Sales Officer, Marketing Coordinator / Marketing Executive / Marketing Officer, Telemarketing Sales / Customer Services Representative, and Sales Support Representative etc. 
  • Graduates can articulate to local/oversea bachelor's degree programmes in marketing/business or other related disciplines

For students to gain work experience and improve their competitiveness as job candidates, a 240-hour internship programme in commercial companies especially in the social media and digital marketing industry will be arranged for students. Moreover, students also have the opportunity to participate in an up to 50 days  Taiwan/China summer working experience programme where they can work in different local commercial companies or professional firms to acquire practical experiences.

Entry Requirements
  • Successful completion of Secondary 6 (Level 2 in 5 HKDSE subjects*) ; or
  • Successful completion of Secondary 7 (1 pass in HKAL or 2 passes in HKAS Level subjects; and 5 passes in HKCEE*); or
  • Holder of Diploma for Tertiary Studies; or
  • Holder of Yi Jin Diploma; or
  • Holder of Pre-Associate Degree / Diploma; or
  • Aged 21 or above with 1 year relevant working experience in related industry(s); or
  • Equivalent qualifications; And
  • Pass in admission interview.

* Including Chinese Language and English Language; at most two Applied Learning subjects achieved a level of "Attained" or above would be considered on a case-by-case basis

Year 1: $53,400 Year 2: $58,680

The above tuition fee is for 2020/21 Cohort.
Tuition fee in 2021/22 is subject to the final approval from the Education Bureau.
