Professor / Dean of the Institute of Cyberspace Technology

Institute of Cyberspace Technology

职责

Provide effective leadership and support in the development and execution of strategies and plans of the Faculty in line with institutional directions

Develop academic / business plans and strategies for the Faculty and identify resource needs

Provide academic leadership in the subject areas of cybersecurity/ networking/ computer science/ AI

Be responsible for programme/module management, new programme development in the subject areas, networking with institutes and industries, organizing co-curricular activities, and supporting promotion and admission activities

Ensure a high quality of teaching, holistic development of students and aligning the Faculty’s programmes with the needs of the community

Participate in planning and operation of a specialized laboratory for teaching, training, research, and commercialization of scientific and research findings purpose

Shape and interpret the Institute’s policies, to develop institution-wide and cross-department programmes

Develop a local and international network of partnerships and linkages with the community, particularly the professional and business sectors, to gain support and funding for the Institute's major strategic initiatives

Establish the excellence for the subject areas in Hong Kong, Mainland China and the region

Steer the administration and coordination and facilitate the daily operation with other departments

资历要求

Doctoral Degree in related disciplines

Track record of scholarly achievement and teaching excellence in the subject areas

Proven management experience and/or leadership accomplishments in a tertiary institute

Outlook and commitment to excellence in science and technology education and curriculum development

Outstanding leadership, interpersonal communication skills, and stakeholder engagement abilities

Familiar with the subject areas of cybersecurity and technology in both higher education and industry sectors in Hong Kong and Mainland China
