Job Description

Assistant Lecturer (Diploma of Applied Education)

Division of Languages and General Studies

Duties

Conduct teaching and student supervision in related subjects as assigned by supervisors

Design, edit, and mark teaching and assessment materials, including supplementary works

Produce documentation and attend meetings for quality assurance purposes

Take charge of academic and student activities related to the discipline, and coordinate with stakeholders where necessary

Provide guidance and mentorship to students, supporting their academic, personal, and professional development

Perform ad-hoc duties as instructed by supervisors

Requirements

Candidates should have at least a bachelor degree or above in the relevant discipline and at least 2 years’ relevant working experience

Teaching experience in the related discipline in tertiary education sector is preferred

Holding a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) issued by a local university/college is considered an advantage

Appointees should also possess good communication and interpersonal skills
