HKCT Invited to Participate in Formulating National-Level AI Industry Standards
HKCT Institute of Higher Education (HKCT) has been invited by the National Technical Committee on Standardization of Press and Publication to participate in the development of a national industry standard “Safety Requirements for Artificial Intelligence Applications in the Publishing Industry”, becoming one of the drafting units. Professor CHEUNG Siu Keung, Senior Associate Vice President of HKCT, has also been appointed as a member of the standard's drafting working group.
The launch meeting for the development of this standard was successfully held in Guangzhou on November 10, 2023. Professor CHEUNG joined representatives from the National Press and Publication Administration, the Publicity Department of the Guangdong Provincial Committee, as well as experts from leading universities, research institutions, and major enterprises across the country to witness the establishment of the working group and engage in discussions on the framework and core content of the standard.
This invitation to participate in the development of the national standard is an affirmation of HKCT and Professor CHEUNG's academic strength and professional contributions in the fields of artificial intelligence technology application, data security, and publishing technology. It also demonstrates HKCT's active promotion of the integration of cutting-edge technology and industry applications, promoting the standardised development of the industry in the Greater Bay Area and even the whole country.
