Dr Fong Ching-hang, Higher Diploma in Computer Studies (2002)
The government has been doing its utmost in recent years to encourage technology development. Ten years back, however, HKCT alunmus Dr Fong Ching-hang has set out his own path in innovative technology research. With poor English results in HKCEE, he enrolled in HKCT’s Diploma and Higher Diploma programmes in Computer Studies where he found passion in information technology. Encouraged by his teacher, Ching-hang moved to Britain and took the third year of university studies to graduate with first-class honour. After obtaining a master’s and a doctorate degree in British academies, Ching-hang returned to Hong Kong to engage in rehabilitation technology research. He then founded a company and developed research projects with universities with a focus to design products that assist patients in rehabilitation treatment. He continues to contribute to society as he advances in technological research.
