HKCT awarded funding from ‘Quality Enhancement Support Scheme (QESS)’ to
establish Interactive Online Learning Platform

‘e-Learning’ has become one of the essential teaching models in recent years. Students are found to be more motivated to learn with games and interactive features. Therefore, HKCT decided to seek financial support from the Education Bureau through the Quality Enhancement Support Scheme (QESS) in 2020 and was pleased to be awarded funding near HK$1.8 million to establish an online learning platform that emphasizes edutainment in English Learning, providing flexible learning styles (for examples, conventional exercise types, drawing, recording audio and taking pictures and videos) and purchase 40 tablets to motivate students and increase their interest in English learning. Students can adjust their learning schedule according to their ability and the amount of time they can afford. Teachers not only can understand students’ individual problems and progress via the online platform; they can also give constant encouragement and feedback to students through the reward scheme of the platform.

The platform is now open for HKCT current students and will be opened for partnered secondary school students and tertiary institutions’ students around September 2021 to February 2022.
