Application Method and Procedure
【Mode 1】 Individual Application
Students interested in applying for an ApL programme must apply through their own secondary school. This is done by submitting the online 'Course Application' form via the Education Bureau's (EDB) 'Applied Learning System' (ApL System). After the application is submitted, HKCT will conduct a centralised selection process. The selection results will be sent to the student's secondary school, and successful applicants will be enrolled in the programme in the new academic year.
【Mode 2】 School-Based Class Application
Teachers from the secondary school should first contact HKCT to discuss the course details and arrangements. Once the arrangements are confirmed, the teacher can then log in to the EDB's 'Applied Learning System' (ApL System) to submit the online 'Course Application' form for the class.
Taster Sessions & Information Talks
We welcome secondary schools interested in offering ApL programmes (under either Mode 1 or Mode 2) to contact us. We can arrange taster sessions or information talks for your students, or enter into further discussions about offering a school-based class (Mode 2).
