HKCT Hosts “2025 HKCT Scholarship Presentation Ceremony and High Table Dinner”
Honoring Outstanding Students and Uniting Social Forces to Advance Education
Hong Kong College of Technology (HKCT) held the “2025 HKCT Scholarship Presentation Ceremony and High Table Dinner” on 13 November 2025. Distinguished guests, partners, faculty, and students gathered to celebrate the exceptional achievements of HKCT students in academics, character, and social contributions, while experiencing the care and support from all sectors of society for education.
A total of 18 scholarship categories were presented, with 105 students receiving awards. These included scholarships under the Government’s “Self-financing Post-secondary Scholarship Scheme,” as well as numerous scholarships sponsored by partner organizations and community leaders, alongside internal awards. This fully reflects the HKCT spirit of “Professionalism, Sociability, Perseverance, and Innovation.”

In his speech, HKCT President Professor CHAN Cheuk Hay remarked: “Scholarships are not only a symbol of honor but also an extension of our educational mission. We strive to nurture young people who are talented, virtuous, socially caring, and courageous in innovation.” He expressed heartfelt gratitude to all donors and sponsoring organizations for their generous support, enabling students to pursue their dreams without financial worries.

At the High Table Dinner, HKCT Vice President Professor LI Wai Chi shared the institution’s major achievements in the 2024–25 academic year, including official approval to launch Level 6 Master’s programs under the Qualifications Framework, active promotion of patriotic education, expansion of industry-academia collaboration networks, recognition of credit transfer between Guangdong and Hong Kong, and the introduction of innovative programs in emerging fields such as Artificial Intelligence Engineering and Cybersecurity. She emphasized: “We will continue to deepen industry partnerships to enhance the practical relevance and employability of our programs; promote cross-border education and international exchanges to broaden students’ global perspectives; and strengthen research and innovation capabilities to cultivate a new generation with critical thinking and creativity.”
