To join the tourism, hospitality and culinary industry, mastering professional skills and gaining practical experience is key to success! HKCT's tourism programs are divided into 3 streams, Higher Diploma in Tourism Management (Airline Services), Higher Diploma in Tourism Management (Hospitality), and the Higher Diploma in Tourism Management (Culinary). The study period is two years full-time, with classes starting in September each year. Applications are now open!

Programme Features

  • 【Government Subsidy SSSDP】 This programme (non-laboratory-based) has been included in the Education Bureau's "Designated Professions/Sectors Programme Subsidy Scheme." In the 2025/26 academic year, eligible local students can receive a maximum subsidy of $23,390 per year.
  • 【Professional Teaching Facilities】 The campus has a Mock-up Cabin and Check-in Counter, Mock-up Hotel, and a Food and Beverage Training Centre including a restaurant and kitchen, equipped with industry-level facilities to help students conduct practical training and ensure connection with aviation, hotel, catering services, western culinary production and other related work.
  • 【Industry Internship】 Provides more than 600 hours of industry internships, allowing students to personally experience industry work and requirements, and enhance their career competitiveness. Students with good performance have the opportunity to be directly employed by the internship organization.
  • 【Articulation Path or Career Prospects】 After completing the course, students can work in various tourism and hotel hospitality-related organizations, including airlines, airport passenger reception companies, star-rated hotels, private clubs, catering groups, conference and exhibition companies, and theme parks or related organizations.

Students from the Higher Diploma in Tourism Management programme visited Macau's largest hotels, the Sheraton Grand Macao and The St. Regis Macao. They toured the state-of-the-art facilities of these top-tier hotels and restaurants, gaining valuable insights into the industry
Mr. Leung Tin-lung, Council Member of the Travel Industry Council of Hong Kong, delivered a guest lecture to Higher Diploma in Tourism Management students on "Travel Exploration and Opportunities: From the Southern Hemisphere to the Greater Bay Area," inspiring them to consider future career paths
To celebrate International Chefs Day, our students of Higher Diploma in Tourism Management (Culinary / Hospitality) participated in an event organized by the Hong Kong Chefs Association and renowned chefs from the industry.
Our students' performance and attitude won high praise from the attendants.
Our students, Lok King Hou, studying HKCT "Higher Diploma in Tourism Management (Culinary)" (third from left), and Lam Ka Wai, studying HKCT "Diploma in Applied Education (Coffee and Western Patisserie Operations)" (third from right), won the 1st and 2nd Runner Up respectively in the "Coffee Cupping Competition" organized by Hong Kong Association of Bakery and Coffee Practitioners, successfully standing out among the participating institutions.
