Teaching Facilities

HKCT has established a comprehensive learning and practical training environment for students studying Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cybersecurity, the Internet of Things (IoT), and Mobile Application & Game Development. Through state-of-the-art hardware and software configurations, we assist students in transforming theoretical knowledge into professional practical skills.

Artificial Intelligence
Equipped with NVIDIA GPU High-Performance Computing servers, the facility significantly reduces model training time for deep learning. This effectively meets the high computing power demands of big data analysis, fully supporting students in mastering AI application development and technical implementation.

Cybersecurity
Featuring a massive 7m × 2m LED visualisation wall, the centre presents virtual network data and attack-defence situations in real time. The HKCT cyber range serves as a Hong Kong regional centre of the national-level cyber range, and is interconnected with multiple cross-border cyber ranges, allowing students to conduct high-intensity attack and defence exercises within simulated real-world network scenarios.

Application & Game Development
A suite of industry-standard software is provided to offer comprehensive support for game development and programming training. Students can utilise the Unity engine for game design, Autodesk 3ds Max for modelling, as well as develop mobile applications using Android Studio and Xcode, thereby mastering professional cross-platform development techniques.

Internet of Things (IoT)
The facility offers a comprehensive 5G communication simulation network and terminal testing environment, equipped with IoT main controller boards such as Arduino and Raspberry Pi, alongside a diverse range of sensors. Furthermore, the inclusion of LiDAR and cameras allows students to construct smart home and parking systems, as well as  gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies like autonomous driving.

Why Choose HKCT's Computer Science and Information Technology Programmes?

HKCT is committed to providing high-quality Computer Science and Information Technology programmes, nurturing professionals with a global perspective and practical skills. Our curriculum is designed to keep pace with market trends. Through the following core advantages, we ensure our students stand out in a highly competitive job market:

    1. Keeping Pace with IT Trends to Boost Workplace Competitiveness

Information technology is evolving rapidly, and businesses have an urgent need for digital transformation. Our Computer Science and Information Technology programmes deeply integrate core areas such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cybersecurity, and the Internet of Things (IoT), ensuring our teaching content aligns seamlessly with workplace skill requirements.

    2. Comprehensive Progression Pathways to Build Your Customised Academic Journey
We have established a comprehensive articulation and further study ladder, ranging from the foundational Diploma of Applied Education (DAE), through Higher Diplomas, to Bachelor's Degrees. This allows students from different starting points to find suitable Computer Science and IT programmes, mapping out their own academic pathways and career blueprints.

    3. Strengthening Practical Skills and Mastering Core Technologies
During their studies, students will have the opportunity to participate in industry internship schemes. By engaging in comprehensive, hands-on industry projects, they will accumulate valuable practical experience, enabling them to transition smoothly into the industry immediately upon graduation.

    4. Government Subsidies to Lower the Cost of Study
By actively participating in various government subsidy schemes (such as NMTSS and SSSDP), we ensure that our outstanding computer science programmes can benefit more young people aspiring to enter the innovation and technology sector. This alleviates the financial pressure of tuition fees, allowing students to focus fully on deepening their technical expertise.
