Programme Objective
The role of athletic coaches is becoming increasingly vital in Hong Kong's sports and health industry. As society places greater emphasis on healthy living, citizens are showing more enthusiasm for participating in sports, which is driving sustained growth in the market demand for professional sports coaches. Coaches are not only responsible for technical guidance but also need to know how to motivate students, foster team spirit, and assist students in setting and achieving sports goals.
In the future, the role of sports coaches will become more diverse and professional. In addition to working in traditional sports venues such as schools, fitness centers, and clubs, they will also be involved in organizing large-scale sports events, promoting sports, and community health education. Furthermore, with the increasing popularity of sports science, sports medicine, and sports psychology knowledge, sports coaches need to master the latest training methods and technologies to help citizens improve their athletic performance and overall health.
This programme focuses on sports coaching and will provide students with comprehensive training, encourage them to obtain relevant professional coaching qualifications, and work closely with industry organizations such as the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China, to provide students with further education and employment support, and assist in planning their sports coaching career development path.
